Brothers Series One: Alpha Male Reads

Alpha Males: Hot, Protective and Down Right Lickable. :also makes you want to kick them at some point:
I read Until November after hearing great things about it in the blogging world. I like to go in not really knowing a lot about a book, so I didn’t read any review on it. Aurora Rose Reynolds it a great job with this New Adult book, I loved just about every minute of it.

I loved that she makes you love the main characters, November had a hard life and after an attack she moves in with her dad. I loved her from the first pages, you want her to win after hearing everything she had to deal with. Asher the Alpha Male you can’t help to love, falls for November, but let’s just say he didn’t make a great first impression. I loved all the side characters as well Asher brothers are amazingly sexy just like Asher.

I did find some small grammar errors at the start of the book but after about 30 pages I didn’t care about them because I just wanted to know what happens with Asher and November. I also found that the ending seemed kind of rushed to me, I wanted it slow down a little and processes everything that was happening longer. Other than that, I love this book. 5 out of 5 stars.

After Reading Until November I started reading Until Trevor. I could wait to see what happen with Trevor and Liz. I love this one just as much as the first book.
I from that I loved Trevor and Liz just as much as if not more than Asher and November. I loved the Trevor knew he messed up and did everything he could to show her that she was the one for him. I like that we felt with Trevor what it was like to be without your girl that wasn’t felt in Until November.  I like that Liz is a strong women who knows what it’s like to be hurt, because we all can relate to something she felt in this book. I didn’t find anything wrong in this book, I just love it. 5 out of 5 stars.

I can’t wait until the next book Until Lilly, I can’t wait to hear Cash’s story.

Aurora Rose Reynolds is the Queen of Alpha Males.

Phoenix Island by John Dixon

Phoenix Island by John Dixon

We meet 16 year old Carl Freeman; a boxing champ and Orphan. Carl is the one person to stick up for the kids who are bullied. He wants to do what is right just like his father, but most of the time he goes too far and gets in real trouble. After taking out the whole football team in the new town he is in, The Judge takes him away from the foster home and sends him to Phoenix Island a “Military like Boot Camp”.  After a few minutes on the island Carl and the other recruits discover that it’s not what it seems to be and hold more secrets. Carl and the others may have to fight for their lives.

I was really excited to read this book, knowing that the new CBS TV Show Intelligence is based off it. Intelligence was/is one of my must watch new shows of this year so I jumped at reviewing this book.

I liked it a great deal, it was everything you want in an action/ thriller, kept you guessing and on the edge of your seat the whole time. Fasted pact and dark at all the right moments. I loved the Lord of the Files feel it had, because it is one of my favorites, as well as the Mad Science overtones.
With every Twist and turn in this book you will never see anything coming. I loved that I couldn’t guess what was going to happen next because I hate being able to guess what is coming.
I am giving this book 4 out of 5 stars.

I like the cover becuae i think covers with people on them are overrated.

This is John Dixon Debut novel and I can’t wait for more from him.

From Watching Intelligence on CBS, I don’t see the book in the show, but I hope to keep watching for it. I loved the book and would love to see more of the book in the show. Catch the show on Monday nights 10/9c.

Love Letters to the Dead by Ava Dellaira

Love Letters to the Dead by Ava Dellaira

Laurel is assigned to write a letter to a dead person in English class, and this starts a long list of letters to the dead she starts to write over the course of the school year. She writes about everything from new school, new friendships first loves and her newly splinted family. She also writes about her sister May and what happen with her. Can Laurel find out who she is and discover her own path with the past weighting on her?

I love this novel so much, from the first page to the very last. I love that it breaks the mold of how you write a book. This book is written in letter form, but not just letters; Letters to dead people like Kurt Cobain and River Phoenix both whom I love.

About 25 pages in you now that something happen, you not sure what but you know that is was bad. You slowly start to find out bits and pieces in each letter, but you now that it will be a heartbreaking story. It was heartbreaking and I cried. (That’s the amazing thing) I love laurel, she’s just this lost girl trying to understand and deal with everything just as everything around her is falling apart. I find her brave and strong. This Novel is beautifully and emotionally written to the point where you feel the main characters are real. I love everything but some of the slow points, but I understand that this book is meant to be slow and amazing. I am giving it 4 out of 5 stars.

The Cover is so pretty.
