Book Synopsis:
They get caught up in the hunt for a corrupt Swiss banker intent on finally unloading the last of the gold stolen by his father in World War II; a violent, narcissist leader of a Mexican drug cartel making his move to take over as the head of all cartels in Central America; and the daughter of a murdered Bulgarian arms dealer making the deal that will give her mother financial stability and get them both out of the increasingly unstable arms business.
The plot unfolds as financial crimes committed by insiders put common criminal activities to shame in a world where technology has increasingly insinuated itself into our lives to good and bad effects.
Book Review :
What a fast paced thriller to start off my 2015. Broken Trust
takes a hold of you from the moment you start and doesn’t let you go until the
very end. I love that the character works for a government agency when she
could very well be living off her trust fund like most people would. I also
liked that she was so willing to find and exposed the truth that she was
willing to expose her family’s dirty laundry.
I loved each character because each
one was well developed and each one was so different, from the drug lords, world
financiers and Heiresses to the government officials. I like the each of the
main characters each had their own strengths and weaknesses from each other and
that each one had secrets from each other. This made the story feel like each person
was real, made you root for them.
The plot kept you guessing and flowed flawlessly
with all the twisted and turns. The uses of technology throughout the story
took the story to the next level, making so much more believable. It was full of suspense and edge keeping on
your toes the whole time. The last chapter sets up perfect for the next book
and I can’t wait for it. If you’re
looking for your next thriller check this one out, you won’t be disappointed. 4
out of 5 stars.
