Wrecked by Priscilla West

Wrecked by Priscilla West

In Wrecked we meet Lorrie who is trying to recover from the death of both her parents. She goes back to college, trying to get back to normal. She meets Hunter, a cage fighter with a tangled life of girls, booze and fighting. Not her type of guy, not that she needs any guy right now. They become friends, Lorrie wants to keep it that way, but Hunter wants more. Can they overcome their pain for the love of each other or will they be too damaged even for love? Is there more to Hunter then meets the eye? Is Lorrie more Fragile than anyone can see?

I wanted to love this novel and I did love the story line but the execution need work. I love hunter, everything about him and his character but I don’t like Lorrie. I found her to selfish and forced, like the author didn’t want to write her but did. I think that Hunter is too good for her.  I need to love both main characters to really want to care about a book.  The writing was good but I think I need more from it, I felt like it was missing something. I needed Priscilla to make me want them to be together, make me want to know what’s going to happen next, but that never happen.  There are some really good steamy scenes but not much more. I may read the next book just to find out what happens with Hunter but that’s it. I am giving it a 2 out of 5 stars.

I love this cover with Hunter on the it, plus look at them abs.

Priscilla West has also wrote The Sandstone Affair Series. She is working on The Surrender Series. Priscilla is a popular erotic romance writer.

Christmas Trees

Everywhere I look from my library to my local book store or even on my Facebook News feed i see Book Christmas Trees. I love that book lovers are taking the love to the next level. I found some that are crazy cool and others that are understated but all of them are great.

My niece Hayden and I took part in this new holiday tend. we made one little book trees.we even took on tree topper and added it on top. It's not as crazy as some that i have saw book it show what book lovers we are.

Book trees have became poplar because they are Eco-friendly and less messy. You don't have to go out and cut a tree down just to put it up for a month. also the mess is just putting the books back on the self, not cleaning up pine needles and another mess the comes with a real tree. Book Trees are a fun, creative way to have holiday spirit and show your love for books.

Take the time and make a quick tree, it takes about 10 minute and a fun project for kids.

Keep on reading.

A review is coming, not sure if i have time for more Christmas reads but something great is coming.

Our First Love by Antony Lamarr

Quick Book review: Our First Love by Anthony Lamarr
In Our First Love we meet two brothers whose life's haven't been great. Caleb the older brother leaves the house, to semi-living in the real world, but would much rather stay home and never come out like Nigel the younger brother. Caleb comes home everyday to tell Nigel about their day, so Nigel feels like he has a life. things change for both when Caleb meets Karen. Follow them in love, loss and tragic unraveling mysteries about the past.

I haven’t read anything like this book, I was looking for a love story. What I got was a love story but not the kind I was expecting. I like how that book was written from both brother points of view, switching each chapter. I liked that we got to see how each brother was feeling and thinking. The books was written beautifully were it draws you in and you fall in love with the brothers. I am giving it 4 out of 5 stars.

Wanted by J. Kenner

Wanted by J. Kenner (A Most Wanted Novel)

In Wanted we meet Angelina who goes by Angie most of the time, but sometimes when she feels wild people call her Lina. She wants one thing in life and that’s Evan Black. Evan is not the safe bet for her and her Uncle Jahn made sure that she and Evan would never happen. Until the death of her Uncle that is. Follow Angie and Evan on the wild roller coaster of love, loss and Understanding. Can you unsafe bet just be what you need?

I have mixed feelings about Wanted, I love the overall story line and Romances of the novel, but found some parts overused. I feel something in the novel are similar to many other books I have read. Not that it’s a bad thing but maybe a little more creative would have made this book really great. I liked Angie, she someone trying to please everyone but herself and I can relate to that. I like how she’s not always a good girl and makes bad choices that people can relate too. As for Evan, I love him. He doesn’t play the good guy at even acts like it. He tells you that he is the bad, not safe choice until he finds something he wants to change for. I think that Angie and Evan are great characters that we can find something about them to relate too. I wanted them to would out and that’s why I read. I want to connect with the characters of the books I read. The writing was great and well written. I am giving this book a 4 out of 5 stars because I liked it over all but not as much as the other books they are seeking fans from.

Also can we stop and look at the cover in all its yumminess. I love the pick lettering on the dark background.

Any fan of Fifty Shades of Grey, Bared to You or Release Me seeking something to read may like Wanted. Check it out!

MIracle at the museum of Broken Hearts Review

Miracle at the Museum of Broken Hearts by Talli Roland

We meet Rose a hopeless romantic stuck in a non-relationship with Garth, who went to teach somewhere without telling her, sends post cards sometimes. She knows it’s not going anywhere but hopes it will work out. Rose starts a new job at the museum of broken hearts where she meets Heath her new boss. Heath is friendly to her nothing more. What happens at the museum of broken hearts
you will have to read it to find out but a little love maybe in the air or more heart break?

I love this Short story, I first read it on Wattpad and reread it many times after. I was so happy to find in on Amazon, because it is perfect to read for the Holidays. It’s a well written, fun and easy read that any hopeless romantic will see a lot of themselves in Rose. If you want something quick to read the will leave you happy and hopeful. Pick up this book. Five out of Five Stars.
